John holds a degree in Computer Engineering and is:

• NAUI Course Director (#60387)
• SDI Instructor
• DAN First Aid Instructor Trainer
• TDI Technical instructor
• TDI Rebreather instructor.

He studies Human Factors and how they affect us when things go wrong, both in scuba diving as well as in IT.

He is also a contract scuba instructor at Boise Scuba Center who schedules most of the public scuba classes that DiveToLive Scuba provides.
